MCP3550-50E/SN is a low-power, single-channel 22bit delta-sigma ADC. It provides high accuracy and low noise performance for applications where sensor measurements (such as pressure, temperature, and humidity) are performed. With the internal oscillator and high oversampling rate, minimal external components are required for high-accuracy applications. This product line has fully differential analogue inputs, making it compatible with a wide variety of sensor, industrial control, or process control applications. The application includes weighing scales, direct temperature measurement, 6-digit DVMs, instrumentation, data acquisition, and strain gauge measurement.
- 22-bit ADC in small package with automatic internal offset and gain calibration
- 21.9bits RMS effective resolution typ (VREF = 5V, -40°C to +85°C, VDD = 2.7V or 5.0V, VREF = 2.5V)
- Offset error range from -12 to +12µV (TA = +25°C, VDD = 2.7V or 5.0V, VREF = 2.5V)
- Positive full-scale error is ±2ppm (TA = +25°C, VDD = 2.7V or 5.0V, VREF = 2.5V)
- Integral non-linearity is ±2ppm typ (TA = +25°C, VDD = 2.7V or 5.0V, VREF = 2.5V)
- Total unadjusted error less than 10ppm, differential input with VSS to VDD common mode range
- No digital filter settling time, single-command conversions through 3-wire SPI interface
- Power supply voltage range from 2.7 to 5.5V (-40°C to +85°C, VREF = 2.5V)
- Power supply DC rejection is -115dB typ (-40°C to +85°C, VDD = 2.7V or 5.0V, VREF = 2.5V)
- 8 pin SOIC package, extended operating temperature range from -40 to 125°C
