Product Overview
The XKB2-Z7T-WZM from Digi International is a XBEE® S2C ZigBee mesh kit. It provides hands on way to learn how to use XBee RF module for device connectivity and mesh networking. Mesh networking is a powerful way to route data. Range is extended by allowing data to hop from node to node and reliability is increased by 'self-healing', the ability to create alternate paths when one node fails or a connection is lost. ZigBee is one of the most popular mesh networking protocols specifically designed for low data rate and low power applications. ZigBee is an open standard, enabling interoperability between different device manufacturers. It is ideal for applications in the energy and controls markets where time to market and reliability are critical. With Digi's extensive and easy to use XBee API framework, can get ZigBee product to market faster than any other module available in the industry.
- Silicon Labs EM357 SoC transceiver chipset, RF 250Kbps, serial up to 1Mbps data rate
- 200ft (60m) indoor/urban, 4000ft (1200m) outdoor/RF line of sight range
- 3.1mW (+5dBm)/6.3mW (+8dBm) boost mode transmit power, ISM 2.4GHz frequency band
- UART, SPI serial data interface, API or AT commands local or over the air (OTA) configuration method
- Through hole, SMD form factor and DSSS (Direct Sequence Spread Spectrum) interference immunity
- (4) 10bit ADC inputs and 15 digital I/O, operating temperature range from -40°C to 85°C
- 32KB flash/2KB RAM memory and HCS08 /up to 50.33MHz (programmable)
- ZigBee PRO 2007, HA-ready with support for binding/multicasting protocol, 128bit AES encryption
- 2.1V to 3.6V supply voltage, 33mA at 3.3VDC/45mA boost mode transmit current
- 28mA at 3.3VDC /31mA boost mode receiver current and <1µA at 25°C power down current
