Product Overview
AD7903 is a dual 16bit, successive approximation, analogue to digital converter (ADC) that operates from a single power supply, VDDx, per ADC. It contains two low power, high speed, 16bit sampling ADC and a versatile serial port interface (SPI). On the CNVx rising edge, the AD7903 samples the voltage difference between the INx+ and INx− pins. The voltages on these pins usually swing in opposite phases between 0V and VREF. The externally applied reference voltage of the REFx pins (VREF) can be set independently from the supply voltage pins, VDDx. The power of the device scales linearly with throughput.
- 16bit resolution with no missing codes
- Throughput: 1MSPS, SINAD: 93.5dB at 1KHz and THD: -112dB at 1KHz
- Low power dissipation: 7mW at 1MSPS (VDD1 and VDD2 only), 12mW at 1MSPS (total) and 140µW at 10KSPS
- INL: ±0.5LSB typical, ±2.0LSB maximum and DNL: ±0.4LSB max
- True differential analogue input range: ±VREF, 0V to VREF with VREF between 2.4V to 5.1V
- Allows use of any input range and easy to drive with the ADA4941-1
- No pipeline delay and serial port interface (SPI) QSPI/MICROWIRE/DSP compatible
- Single-supply 2.5V operation with 1.8V/2.5V/3V/5V logic interface
- 20 lead QSOP package
- Operating temperature range from -40 to 125°C
