The 142-1701-871 SMA Self-Fixture End Launch Jack Assembly with tab contact from Johnson-Cinch Connectivity Solutions attaches directly to a coplanar waveguide circuit board and operates up to 18 GHz with good return loss values. This enhanced end launch connector properly align and hold the center contact of a coaxial connector to the circuit board plane without the need for special fixtures. This is done with specially designed connector legs that tightly grip the board substrate until the soldering operation to couple the two is complete. Its in-line straight connector design minimizes reflection as compared to right-angle PC mount transition. The perfect solution for microwave engineers who are tasked to transition microwave energy from coaxial to planar transmission line structures on high frequency board substrates. The ideal connector for design engineers who are looking to cut manufacturing costs and complexity out of their circuit board system.
